Missy is a life member of Waltrick Hemme VFW Post 3035, Delphos, Ohio. She joined the Auxiliary in 2009 under the eligibility of her father Barry Warnecke, who served in the United States Navy on USS Stoddard during Vietnam. Missy is married to Shannon, who is a United States Marine Corp Veteran who served during the Korean conflict.

Missy is a legal secretary at Clark & Warnecke Law Office, and in her free time when she is not volunteering in the auxiliary, she loves spending time with friends and family, and being an "Aunt Mimi” to many, spoiling all of her nieces and nephews and 2 great nephews.

In 2016, Missy became the VFW Post 3035 Auxiliary President, the position she currently holds. She has held many chairmanships on post, district, department level and she had served as the District 2 President in 2019-2020, as an Outstanding District President Runner- up. She is honored to serve as the 2023-2024 Department of Ohio Auxiliary Chief of Staff. Working diligently to support this organization and serve our Veterans and their families.
